Al Sanam Islamic Bank sponsors a conference at the University of Mosul under the title (The role of Islamic banks in promoting human financial rights) In line with the directives of the Central Bank of Iraq to hold educational seminars and conferences in order to spread banking culture, a seminar was held at the University of Mosul under the title (The role of Islamic banks in promoting human financial rights) sponsored by Al Sanam Islamic Bank. The seminar witnessed the presentation of research and working papers. The opening session was given by Dr. Abbas Al-Shammari, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank, and legal advisor Dr. Muhammad Al-Qadi under the title (The effectiveness of carbon bonds in achieving environmental safety through Islamic banking tools), which showed the role of Islamic banks in creating a clean environment through financing tools and Islamic products for industrial projects. A model of a gas and associated gas extraction plant was also presented, which was completed by Iraqi hands by the North Oasis Company, one of the bank’s subsidiaries. The seminar also witnessed the presentation of research by professors from various Iraqi universities. Dr. Abbas Al-Shammari, Chairman of the Bank’s Board of Directors, was honored with the Shield of Excellence by the University of Mosul and certificates of appreciation for the bank’s permanent role in supporting University and humanitarian activities to spread banking culture in Iraqi society.
